Vineyard | A vineyard of 25 years of age situated at 1,100 meters above sea level. Its West-East orientation provides a fast natural runoff for rain and defrosting waters. The growing-guidance system is done by high vine trellis. |
Soil Composition | Alluvial origin, with a poor and sandy loam texture and a remarkable presence of stones and calcium carbonate, which define them as “calcareous” and convey great elegance and complexity to the wines. |
Harvest | Hand-picked in small plastic boxes of 12 kg. A direct pressing is carried out on the whole cluster and then it is fermented 50% in stainless steel tanks and 50% in barrels. Yield: 8,000 kg per hectare. |
Winemaking | When entering the winery, grapes are subject to a double selection process through a vibrating conveyor. A direct pressing to the entire cluster is performed and the must is then fermented 50% in stainless steel tanks and 50% in oak casks. 20% of the wine is aged in 2nd use French oak casks during 3 months to add complexity and elegance, but preserving the freshness of the grapes. No malolactic fermentation. |
Tasting Notes | Fresh and fruity. Bright greenish yellow. Intense and expressive aroma (tropical fruits, citrus and nuts). The palate is fruity and a very balanced acidity lingers its finish. It is a wine that fills the mouth and also has great freshness that invites you to drink. It is ideal for pairing with salads, fish and seafood. |
